Fried Moonpies & Other Houston Rodeo Delicacies

In addition to providing the best insurance in Houston, we want to make sure our clients and friends don’t miss out on any Houston Rodeo fun! Today we’re talking food. If there’s one thing that our insurance agents like as much as a good insurance quote, it’s advice on the best places to eat!

Houstonians love the musical performances, the animal shows and the cowboy contests, but we bet that most would say that the fantastic food is one their favorite features at the Houston Rodeo.

The motto for the Houston Rodeo may very well be: if you fry it, they will come.

There’s fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried zucchini, fried green tomatoes, fried Snickers, fried Oreos, fried Moonpies, fried cookie dough, fried red velvet cake and we could keep going. The picture above is a deliciously fried Moonpie which is of course, packed with all the vitamins and minerals you need for a balanced meal.

And oh, the BBQ that you will eat! Whether it’s ribs, sausage-on-a-stick, turkey leg or a chopped beef sandwich, you just can’t beat the BBQ at the Houston Rodeo.

You’ll be glad to know that you don’t have to eat every single item on the menu to find the best. They’ve made it easy for us by holding the Gold Buckle Foodie Awards ahead of time.
